Joyce J. Mullane, age 75, of Wakefield, formerly of Cambridge, Arlington, and Reading, died on Wednesday, July 24, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.
She was born in Cambridge on September 9, 1948, the daughter of the late Preston and Ada (Ghilardi) Rhoades.
Joyce graduated from Cambridge High and Latin in 1966 and Bentley College with a degree in Management. She enjoyed spending time at her home on Martha’s Vineyard, traveling, and a good glass of Chardonay. Her latest passion was pickleball.
She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Giovanangelo. She was the loving mother of Mark Mullane and his wife Melissa of Sandown, NH. She was the sister of Jackie Coffman, Virginia Mawhinney, Lorraine Myette, Nancy Petraglia, and the late Donna Bernard and Linda Sederquist. Joyce was also survived by her two grandchildren Olivia and Elliot.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., on Wednesday, July 31, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday July 30 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
