Reading Public Library’s Going to the Dogs at Our Animal Extravaganza

Saturday afternoon, May 11!

Reading Public Library (RPL), Reading, MA—Mark your calendar for a fun and educational afternoon at RPL’s Animal Extravaganza! You’ll enjoy crafts, seeing, and learning about all kinds of animals. Plus, at our Pet Food Drive you can help support animals in need. Donate to this good cause by bringing a can or bag of pet food or treats to the Community Room for MSPCA: Nevins Farm. All items must be new, sealed and not expired. Thank you!

Here’s the lineup!

  • 12:00 – 4:30 pm: Pet Food Drive
  • 12:00 – 4:30 pm: All About Dogs with The Dog Behavior Institute
  • 12:00 – 4:30 pm: Rabbit Rescue! Meet a a bunny with the House Rabbit Network
  • 12:00 – 2:00 pm: Feline Friends with Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society
  • 1:00 – 3:00 pm: Hey! It’s Horses! With New England Equine Rescue
  • 2:00 – 3:30 pm: Snake Education Workshop with Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team

Outside on the lawn, we’ll have a new Story Walk plus four craft stations for photos, pet rocks, pet toys, and mask making. Activities will take place outside and on the library’s ground floor, rain or shine.

Well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome to attend outside events, weather permitting.
