Special Election May 14
Reading, MA — Town Clerk Laura Gemme updated the list of candidates who have pulled papers for the upcoming Special Election. Earlier this week, in a letter to The Post, Mark Delaney announced he was withdrawing from the Special Election.

The Special Election will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, to fill the Select Board vacancy. Nomination papers are now available from the Town Clerk until Tuesday, March 26 at 5 pm for those interested in running.
Candidates for elected offices must obtain at least fifty (50) certified signatures to qualify for placement on the May 14 ballot. Papers must be returned to the Town Clerk’s office by 5 pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.
