The Reading Open Land Trust Corporation (Rolt) is a non-profit dedicated to protecting open space in Reading for the passive enjoyment by the public. We are happy to announce that we will be participating in the Town Forest Day with a booth and handouts. Please stop by and say hello; we would love to see you!!
Currently, Rolt has eleven pieces of property of various acreage scattered around the town. A large percentage of the land is wetlands or borders wetlands, with the largest single parcel, almost eighteen acres in size. Rolt was formed over forty years ago by a group of citizens who saw the need for protecting open space in Reading.
