George McRae, of Reading, formerly of Glastonbury, CT, died on Saturday, July 29, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.
He was born in Yonkers, NY, on October 23, 1927, and was the son of the late George and Catherine (Gordon) McRae.
George worked his entire career at Otis Elevator company. He was a graduate of Cornell University.
He was the beloved husband of the late Ramona (Eastman) McRae. He was the loving father of Joan Baker of Columbus, GA, Douglas McRae and his wife Sandra of Pierrepont Manor, NY., and Susan Durkee and her husband Jonathan of Lynnfield, MA. He was the grandfather of Douglas McRae, Megan McRae, Catherine Rexford, Alexandra Krisko, Christopher Scott, Cannon Baker, Matthew Baker, Jeffrey Durkee, Andrew Durkee, and William Durkee. George was also the great-grandfather of Owen, Luke, Emmett, Ethan, Nathan, Chase, Hannah, and Elizabeth.
Funeral Services will be private.
