Charles A “Charlie” Antinoro, 89 of Reading died April 1 in his home after a short illness. Born and raised in the West End of Boston, he lived briefly in Somerville, then Stoneham and most recently in Reading for the past 13 years.

Charlie was the son of the late Virginia (Alopere) and Anthony Antinoro. Beloved husband of 61 years to Irene (Arpin) Antinoro. Devoted father of Linda Antinoro and Charles (Chuck) Antinoro of Reading; dear brother of the late Josephine (Jo) Ippolito and Salvatore (Sam) Antinoro. Survived by other loving relatives.

Charlie was an active parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church in Stoneham where he attended daily mass. He also frequented St Joseph’s church in Wakefield, particularly the weekly 5:30 Saturday mass.

Charlie was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a Stoneham firefighter for 25 years. After an early retirement, he was fun-employed through a variety of part-time jobs.

In his spare time, he did the rosary nightly on TV, watched sports and old movies-especially Westerns. He also traveled extensively with his family. This included many areas in the U.S.A. and the world, with multiple repeat visits to Walt Disney World and Italy.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with his family on Wednesday April 5th, 2023 from 8:30 am – 9:30 am in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Charlie’s Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 am.
