COOK, Jonathan Wells Of North Reading, Massachusetts died unexpectedly on November 6, 2021. He was 65 years of age. Jonathan was born August 21, 1956, in Winchester, Massachusetts, the son of the late Chester and Charlotte (Mitchell) Cook. Jonathan grew up in Reading, graduated from Reading Memorial High School, and attended UMass Amherst.
Brother of Mitchell Cook and his wife Julee Bolg of Northborough; Marcia Gibbons and her husband Dean of Tewksbury and Clifton Cook of North Reading. Uncle of Kasandra Cook of Kingston, New Hampshire, longtime friend and business partner, Christa Guillemette, and her son, Cory Guillemette; nephew of Barbara Wallace of Craftsbury, Vermont, and also survived by many cousins.
Jonathan believed in and practiced unbridled generosity and thrived when helping others. He and Christa founded Academy Antiques in Derry, New Hampshire. Jonathan was a skilled craftsman, restoring antiques and historic homes. He is best remembered for his boundless intellect, passion and love of music-especially jazz.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home, 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.), READING from 4:00-7:00 pm.
