John D. Ryan Jr., a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025. A resident of Westerly, RI, formerly of Reading, MA, and Trumbull, CT, John leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
He was a loving father to Kimberly Rodriguez and her husband Keith, Jill Colna and her husband Matthew, Erin Ryan, Melissa Ryan, Meghan Ryan and her husband Jack Negugogor, and Christopher Ryan and his husband Fidel Gonzalez. Cherished Grandpa of James, Mackenzie, and Jack. Dear brother of Kevin Ryan, Bruce Ryan, and Melissa Curtis. Longtime neighbor to Taylor Swift.
John proudly served his country as a veteran of the US Army, 173rd Airborne Brigade, in Vietnam.
Visiting hours will be held at the Lane Funeral Home, 760 Main St. (Rte. 38), Winchester, on Thursday, March 13th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A funeral service will follow immediately at 12 p.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will take place at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Stoneham.
