MVES, COAs Host Caregiver Program at Equine Farm

Mystic Valley Elder Services’ (MVES) Memory Café has been traveling this fall! Memory Cafés bring together people with memory loss and their family caregivers to share positive experiences and build support networks. Memory Cafés are offered as part of MVES’ Caregiver Support Program.

Recently, the MVES Memory Café visited Ironstone Farm, a therapeutic horse farm in Andover. Local families were able to attend one of two sessions at the farm sponsored by MVES, the Reading Council on Aging and the Stoneham Council on Aging. Families from Reading, North Reading, Stoneham, Wakefield and surrounding communities had a great time bonding with each other and their equine friends under the guidance of the fantastic Ironstone staff.
