I strongly endorse John Halsey for reelection to the Reading Select Board.

I am not a resident of the Town of Reading. In fact, I reside in North Reading and I am currently a member of the North Reading Select Board. Years ago during my tenure as the President of the Reading/North Reading Chamber of Commerce, I worked with Mr. Halsey extensively on issues involving the Reading business community. Mr. Halsey is a hard-working, tireless advocate for the Town of Reading, especially for its small business owners. As a Select Board member myself, I know the amount of time a Select Board member volunteers for their town. And Mr. Halsey always has gone over and above in this respect. In my capacity as a North Reading Select Board member, I have often discussed issues affecting our two towns with Mr. Halsey and always found him to be honest, fair, and a strong advocate for his constituents.

Additionally, Mr. Halsey has always been a great supporter of the Reading Police Department. As it appears the Reading Police Department has been unjustly under attack by others as of late, it is most imperative that they have a strong advocate for them on the Reading Select Board. And Mr. Halsey is precisely that person.

For these reasons and many others, I ask my Reading friends to Write in John Halsey for the Reading Select Board on March 3rd.

Thank you,

Andrew Schultz
Member, North Reading Select Board
