SUMMARY:Reading Police Department Announces Car Seat Installation Events
DESCRIPTION:READING — Deputy Chief Christine Amendola is pleased to share that the Reading Police Department will be hosting multiple car seat installation events for residents. \nCar seat installations will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month\, from Feb. 14 to June 13\, at the police station\, 15 Union St. \nReading Police have designated car seat technicians on staff who will assist residents with properly installing car seats. \nThe proper installation of car seats is vital to ensure safe travel and safe driving practices. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)\, approximately 325 children under 5 are saved by car seats in motor vehicle crashes per year. \nCar seat installations are free for residents. Residents should bring the car seat manual and the height and weight of their child. \nTo schedule an appointment\, residents should contact Sgt.
